Assuming you did mean Castle...
The game used to get screwy for me after i "pulled the lever" afaik. The textual graphics became increasingly corrupted and it would often cause gaps to appear in the walls, allowing early escape. I could never get much further anyway because inevitably it'd get so bad the game would crash out.
i think my copy of the game may have been corrupted.

Yeah, that "Ye Flask" thing was a quote from Strong-Bad, making fun of games where you type commands to perform actions. In the video he said, "GET YE FASK". And his game would reply, "You cannot get ye flask!" Castle would have been, like "I do not see a ye flask and I do not have a ye flask".

I never beat the game either. But I'll beat it after I beat Dwarf Fortress
