Re: Debate #1: Who lied more?
find your glasses and read the article I posted. According to the judicial aide that spoke to the press, the 24 hour delay is to check if the testimony contains information that would harm Staple's business operations. Nothing else would prevent the release. Oh, and not wishing to be non-factual, I wish to clarify that the suit isn't against Romney, per se, as my words above would imply. It is a Freedom of Info suit against the Massachusetts civil court which had sealed the documents, by the Boston Globe newspaper. Allred's suit(ongoing) is that a general conspiracy to defraud the ex wife occurred in the divorce proceedings.

Re: Debate #1: Who lied more?
I don't read it that way
"A Massachusetts state court judge delayed for a day a decision on whether to make public testimony that Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney gave more than two decades ago"
I see a delay as to whether the judge will decide to make public...not that he "will" make public

Re: Debate #1: Who lied more?
read what the judicial assistant stated lower down in the article. A hint: when someone posts a link, they hope that you read the ENTIRE article, not just the first paragraph.
Now, let's get to where this all fits in......First off, the Boston Globe hates Romney. They have since he was governor, so they probably can be assumed not to be backing him for President. Second, Romney's real problem in the coming two weeks is getting enough white women onto his side to push his totals over the top. This is just a little chunk of potential bad news that sours women on Romney. A very small chunk. Still, coupled with his very unfortunate timing of backing a Senate candidate in Indiana, on a TV ad, the day before that candidate claimed that God determines whether raped women conceive children out of the rape, and you start to get a real last minute meltdown of the progress Romney had been making in his efforts.

Hint: Perhaps it is wise to read and comprehend your own link:
"Assistant Judicial Case Manager Jennifer Ulwick, who denied Leary's request to keep media out of the court proceeding, gave Leary, as well as attorneys for Romney and Staples, a day to review the testimony to see if it contained confidential information before deciding on whether to make it public.
She told the attorneys as well as Sullivan Stemberg not to discuss the case with the media prior to her ruling on whether to make the documents public."
I see nothing here that says a decision has been made. Perhaps instead of making useless post and even more useless replies, try cutting and pasting what you think is relevant instead of having other people correct your idiotic assumptions.

Re: Debate #1: Who lied more?
Rather than debate the semantics of the article, perhaps you guys could make another bet on whether the testimony gets released or not?
Re: Debate #1: Who lied more?
Meh, it doesn't look like lying to me. The stock had been traded for 2 years before the testimony. There is no way anyone could know with any certainty the stock would go up, no matter how soon after the divorce. And of course there is Mitt's on definition of value, which is fairly subjective I imagine.

Well still waiting for this big bombshell of testimony to hit the front pages and cause Romney to wilt like one of slicks cheap shirts on a humid day.

Re: Debate #1: Who lied more?
Google is your friend. It was released, and hasn't made a big splash.
Re: Debate #1: Who lied more?
I did google, saw that and you need to read my post closer.
Re: Debate #1: Who lied more?
Well you know, there is this other thing taking the headlines. Maybe you heard about a storm that affected 63 million people? (BTW, the storm was Obama's fault.)
Re: Debate #1: Who lied more?
Actually vision, in a way it is Obama's fault. In 2008 he promised to lower the sea levels if he got elected.
Re: Debate #1: Who lied more?
That's not funny. The lack of climate talk in the campaigns is frightening. Priorities are all wack in this country. I would have emigrated to another country by now, but the bad economy destroyed my savings.
