It sounds like more foreign Obama election rhetoric.

No, it sounds like legitimate criticism of the godawful state our country finds itself in, and the sheer insanity of the modern Republican party that is a major cause of said state. Anyone who can say with a straight face that "America is still the greatest country on Earth" is a damn fool.

Semi-read, semi-skimmed it. My impression is that although it has an obvious political tint, and certainly a fairly negative tone, it does a pretty good job at bringing up some of the major areas where the U.S. is hurting itself badly and falling behind.
