pay up. The charity to receive your $25 is Fisher House, a non-profit helping the families of wounded vets. Just make an anonymous donation
and dedicate it to the Honor of Barack Obama. Thanks.

Re: woodchip
From the thread where the bet happened:
In any case, you guys can deal with any questions about making good on the bet in PM.
I believe this would have woodchip make the donation in the name of "callmeslick", not "the Honor of Barack Obama".woodchip wrote:I'll take your bet...callmeslick wrote:...a wager. $25, given to Fisher House(I assume, as a vet, you know of them) in the online name of the winner...

Re: woodchip
good man, Woodchip!!! Not caring about the actual attribution, yours is just fine.
Aside: on another forum, the loser is starting to dance around paying up, it seems, at the moment.
Once again, thank you for manning up, and benefitting a fine cause.

Woody, if that is your name on that receipt, you should scratch it out, or delete the image now that slick has seen it.

Re: woodchip
hell, I never bothered to read his name, I have a certain level of trust.
Update on my other wagering victim.....he 'remembered' his ill-fated wager and not only paid up, he doubled the amount in the name of a fallen comrade who died in Afghanistan. So, if nothing else good came of the political word-wars of the past years, at least a very good cause made an extra $75.

Actually I don't. If someone wants to make r/l trouble with me, I can find creative ways to reciprocate. While I don't agree with Slicks political views, I think he still has a sense of honor.Spidey wrote:Woody, if that is your name on that receipt, you should scratch it out, or delete the image now that slick has seen it.

Shows me how blind as a bat I am...I didn't even notice the name entry until it was pointed out.
