I call liberal conspiracy, having not even read what Rush had to say. First they get their man in office, then they establish universal health care, then they cut all unhealthy foods which would threaten the stability of their universal health care.

Hostess will move to sell its assets to the highest bidder. That could mean new life for some of its most popular products, which could be scooped up at auction and attached to products from other companies.

^--- This happens all the time, just to acquire things like patents, trade names, and logos. This can be done by buying all the assets of a company or the majority of interest. In this case, who ever buys the assets will own all the intangible assets that go with it, normally way above market value.

yeah, their US headquarters is up in Horsham, down the road from where I used to work. They sponsored a team in the business center's softball league, and we all had a laugh when our team got beat by Bimbo......

I like and purchase "Lil' Debbie" products too, but they are following Hostess' lead of downsizing their products, using inferior ingredients like soybean oil and speeding up the production lines so that it results in messy-in-the-package products. There's something about all that GMO soy oil now that makes things taste funky. It also doesn't come through my digestive system very good either.
