Ya sure a golden retriever should the poster boy for an alphadog? I don't think any dog that likes to eat it's own poop should be called an alphadog.

Yeah, I guess you're right. But I've seen more Golden's do it than most other breeds. I guess that's why I like cats. They don't eat their own poop, normally. They just leave it in your slippers if you piss them off.

Well, at least it hasn't dropped on the ground first. 5 second rule! And there IS a difference between eating a steamy, used, soft, stinky log verses some little left over bits that are just stuck to you.

My Bernese Mountain Dog used to eat his poop. Only time I saw him abstain was when he did it in our neighbor's yard and the neighbor's dog was out with him. It was like they were mutually admiring it or something.
