Agreed, I made a facebook account only as a place-holder, because I believe a facebook account has become a new kind of internet ID that can be spoofed by someone. Question: Why not block friend requests and invites? I basically put facebook on mute.

Naaah, the trick is to make everything you say about yourself so ludicrously obviously false that when you do say something true about yourself, people just dismiss it.
It's fun. I like to invent other people to be. Being given only one life as only one person is completely unfair.

I don't think it ever hurts to go a little out of your way to be nice to someone; whether online or in real life, the context doesn't matter. I'd much rather make friends than foes.
