While creating the electricity may be "Green" the production and post-use state are not. Granted that the life of a solar cell (under favorable conditions) is something like 20 to 25 years, that's still a lot of e-waste down the way.

Earth shattering? no. But we need to keep all things in mind when we find a new golden calf. Nothing is free.
