downloader.1st bar Virus

I have run AVG and it finds the virus but can't remove it. Any suggestions?

witch AVG the free version

if so just go to www.norton.com and pull it up and see how to remove it

They don't show "downloader.1stbar.

At least not that I could find and yes AVG free.

1. Disable system restore
2. Reboot
3. Scan again

system restore can save your ass at times

This is what Warlock was referring to, but it doesn't list the bug you describe under that name. However, a little googling turned up this which identifies it as a TROJAN, not a virus. Believe it or not, not everything that infects your PC is a virus....:roll:

I suggest you nab Hijack This! and post the log.

Shhh its a secret... an administrator can change the permissions on the system restore folder. ;)

just go down the list of trogens and look at eatch one and compaire it to your system

Went into Safe mode and AVG got it.
