I treated him, while in office, with due respect, although I saw the longterm detriment of his policies, and Reagan essentially was the single person most responsible for me embracing Democrats for nation office in the years since.

So its ok to be a hater when he's out of office, but not while he's in office? when by "disagreeing" with his policies while in office there might be an actual chance to change them. Sound like a bunch of rhetoric being spewed just to protect the man that you want in office
