Any downside to using random passwords with a password man

Post by thewolfe »

Any downside to using random passwords with a password manger like 1password or LastPass?

My only concern would be never knowing what a particular password would be for a site in case I couldn't get to the password manager. But, most likely if I couldn't get to the password manager I couldn't get online anyway.

If you forget the master password or someone else obtains it, you are screwed, otherwise no real downside other than the extra complication.

I also have a large password but thought I had a key logger on my computer that would mean the greatest password on the world would be useless.

Pretty sure the malwarebytes hit was a false positive. But how a file called "stolen data" ever got into my App Data folder,,,,,,,,,,,,
