Apparently, this is a "visual novel" game ..thing..


I just ran across it and thought some of you hard core anime/manga types would like to give this a look see (if you haven't already heard of it)...as I'm usually about 5 years behind the anime curve.

This is a free download. All 3 Os support and I guess there's a portable port as well somewhere.. oh, I guess there is some adult content too just fyi.

I had a friend who was all about this game and asked me to try it. I still haven't tried it. It doesn't look like my kind of game or story line. Maybe if each girl had a set of movies like quarter-circle-forward->punch, or half-circle-back->forward->Hard-Slash, it might be an awesome game.

I'm ok with an amputee story line. Meet Baiken:
Once upon a time there was a girl named Baiken who lost right arm and left eye, because she liked to fight.

She replaced her right arm with chain-claw and other weapons, writing them off as medical expenses.

One day she met this really nice french guy

who she countered repeatedly and beat the crap out of. The End

I haven't gone through it. I read a post on MegaTokyo from the author and it sounded interesting. Read his thoughts on it. *shrug* just posting for those who might be interested.

And yeah.. I didn't anything less from Issac.

Ohhkay..... did a play through...

um yeah. first 2 act were really good. 3 and 4 were basically a really creepy dating game with a sex scene at the end. Writing and art was good. Story flow wasn't always ... er.. cohesive especially around the 4th act.

note to self.. leave Japanese "visual novels" alone.
