No.
Your only option would be to encrypt your entire hard drive with a password prompt.

Re: Encrypt or password protect contacts in Outlook 2003
I got the idea because I use Outlook on my iPad and iPod and wondered about hiding certain info in the contacts or the whole contact.
Thanks for the reply.

Make it so you have to log into outlook every time. This way it will ask for your credentials when you start it.

How would I go about doing that on an iPad/iPod and PC?

CDN_Merlin, Am using Win7 withe Outlook 2003 and don't have those settings. And again I would want a password to open the contacts and calendar especially on my iPod/iPad. Thanks for the post.

Sadly I don't think you can password protect just those. It's either entrance into Outlook or nothing.

Re: Encrypt or password protect contacts in Outlook 2003
Would setting a password for Outlook prevent someone from opening the .pst in a different copy? (though that may not be contacts, might just be mail)
For certain situations it might be enough though. If the intention is to deal with people stealing computers, on the other hand, it's probably better to use EFS or BitLocker and a passworded Windows account.
As for iPads/iPhones, the usual way would be to lock the entire device with a PIN or something like that. Usually there is very little security available if you get past that (although it would depend on the app).

Re: Encrypt or password protect contacts in Outlook 2003
Password protecting the PST file locks everything in Outlook. So in essence you would have to enter the PW every time you start Outlook. This is basically what you want since there is no way to protect just the calendar.

Would I have to go into the "C:\Users\X\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook backup.pst" to lock it? And if so how?Password protecting the PST file locks everything in Outlook.
