Ignore things at your own peril. "See nothing, hear nothing, tell nothing", plus my own addition, do nothing.

No slick, because for you everything seems to be an excuse for “more” spending and “more” taxes.callmeslick wrote:right you are, and isn't it high time we reversed that course, big-time? And, guess what, that means SPENDING and TAXATION. But, both for the long term viability of the nation, and the economy.Spidey wrote:Lol slick, spending for infrastructure as a “priority” is already many generations behind.
I just don’t see it that way, if I had my way, I would take a percentage of the military budget and re-allot it to a permanent infrastructure budget.
I would try to offset the lose in military jobs with the infrastructure work, which I just happen believe at this time in history would have more bang for the buck than military spending.
Military jobs support the middle class, but the condition of the nation’s infrastructure is in such bad decay at this time, that I think it’s more of a priority.
And I’m sick and tired of infrastructure used as a political football every time the government wants more taxes…then when they get the increase they never do the infrastructure work, and just use it as an excuse again as needed.

your idea isn't bad, Spidey......just go and try and sell that to a political infrastructure that clings to those military jobs like barnacles on a shrimp boat.

Re: Why are you afraid of the Tea Party?
indeed, one of the major confusions to me with the T Party is that they are apparently all for military spending (YEAH WAR, ★■◆● YEAH. YEAH! YAEH!!!), or is that a misconception?
i mean, wow, i saw the budget for the last major official war. One of the few times one sees the word TRILLIONS written in print. When we're getting to these figures - nothing else matters. oh i just spent a bunch of money on some social benefit scheme? Wow, does that really even compute coz you spent 1000000x that of taxpayer's money on some bull★■◆●, with no recompense or even an inkling of personal responsibility for this decision.
(wait... lac of personal responability... that kindof ideology apparently goes against conservative values? hahah as if anyone cares, POLITICAL POWER WOOHHOO!! EVERYONE LOVES WHAT NEOCONS BRING TO THE TABLE)
and lets not mention the constant unofficial war with everyone ever since aspects of the military/intelligence budget became a state secret not for your American eyes stop asking questions why do you hate America i am your God why do you hate your god

From what I've seen, there's a whole spectrum of opinions among tea-partiers about that subject. Some defend military spending as one of the 'necessary' federal expenditures, others oppose it as much as they oppose social spending.roid wrote:indeed, one of the major confusions to me with the T Party is that they are apparently all for military spending...
