He is pushing to eliminate mandatory minimum sentencing for simple drug offenders.
He usually lets party line procedure get in the way of justice, and I doubt he has changed that part of his character, so I guess this is just a case of them getting one right.
I'm curious to see who lines up against it.

don't fear for those folks.....that is mostly a state/local business, and it has been booming for a couple decades. Nothing Holder is going to do can affect State sentencing practices.
