GB 100

Just in case you guys happen to be near the gun section of your local game store, can you tell me if any of them have the Game Boy 100? I'm not going to drive up there, I just want to know if they're really sold out everywhere.

These aren't suppose to be rare, but nobody has them. Yeah, I've been looking really hard here in south Texas. The only place they seem to sell them is online, which is fine for special uncommon systems. But a Game Boy should be as common as a Nintendo DS. I'd expect high graphics game systems to be in high demand, because those might get replaced with DRM filled systems some time in the near future. But a bulky Game Boy? These shouldn't be selling out.

If they are still in production, should be no problem, if not, you or the dealer will have to hunt one down.

Oh yeah, they're in production. My Game Store flat out told me to try ebay.com... what a guy. My local big box is going to try get one from within their own franchize inventory. Not sure how well that will work.

You can get one off gunbroker and have it sent to anyone with an FFL. They usually charge around 20-25 dollars for the transfer. Nice choice by the way.

edit: after rewatching, I'm pretty sure that's a S&W 686.

I don't know if the gp100 and 686 have different recoil, but they have very similar weight. Most like the 686 for its nice trigger and quality control. Others prefer the G100's undisputed tougher design (No removable side plates; one solid chunk of machined metal).

I wouldn't have let her shoot a full 357 mag without shooting 38 special first. Poor girl will probably never want to shoot it ever again.

That's the great thing about the .357, you can also use the lighter .38 special, which will give hardly any kick at all with that Ruger. Just make sure you don't go smaller than the 3" barrel, after that the shells won't eject completely.

If it's still a revolver we're talking about them the shells may not eject at all, no matter what your gas pressure is.

Sergeant Thorne, I think he's talking about residue buildup from shooting smaller rounds than a 357 mag. In many 357s, there's a ring in the cylinder of each chamber that is the length of the brass of the 357 round. However, shooting 38 special, not being long enough to reach this ring, can cause gunk to build up, causing the rounds to stick when you try to eject them with the ejector rod. A shorter barrel also leaves more unburnt powder.

I hadn't considered that Isaac, but I do know for a fact that if you go shorter than 3 inches, the ejector rod is actually too short to fully push the spent shells out. Yeah, the one with the 6 inch barrel would be a dream to shoot, but I want one mainly for carry. I have yet to purchase one but that is the same one I decided on. Built like a tank, fairly balanced and guaranteed to fire
