Help! Someone is taking over my site!
Well, my site is ComputerBB.org.
My name is Aggressor Prime, of course.
Someone has taken over my account, changed the password, and is making me look pro-Intel, which I am not. This is the article. http://www.computerbb.org/about784.html

did they just change your individual profile's password, or did they also change your FTP or other passwords (if you have them)? Do you know how they got your password?
If it's just your individual profile, but you still have some sort of FTP access, you can go in and modify your profile to use a different password and take it back (but then, you better know how they got your PW in the first place so you can stop it from happening again.) If you used the same password for FTP as for your account, though, you're probably totally screwed.
You may be able to contact your ISP and have them cut your account's php access (effectively shutting the board off) until you're able to straighten things out.

If your host gives you a web-based database manipulation tool like phpMyAdmin then, assuming he hasn't also hacked your database as well, you should be able to go in and manually change the password.

Smartweb is the problem here. He has connections with Neo-Tebow2000. He did this and Neo-Tebow2000 is playing along. Smartweb also has connections to ccb056. Basically, Smartweb wants to take over the site by first, getting rid of me, then second, making the strike at ccb056. He is a control-freak. It is very messed up. I did manage did get that post deleted though.
yeah, there's nothing you can do if they have control.
the only thing you can ever do is utilise your special strengths as owner of the site.
that being, temporarily shut it down, then FTP into it and fix it manually, and make sure it can't happen again.
if your are no longer able to FTP into it then talk to your host.
so what ARE you able to do Aggressor Prime?
(tally up your options)
- can you temporarily shut the site down?
- can you access FTP?
- can you speak to the host (ie: do they know that YOU own the site?)?
