can I tell the order I installed programs

Still working on a computer that won't shut down normally and freezes but will shutdown normally in SafeMode. So I'd like to see what programs I installed last to see if one of the is the culprit.

Also I have a bunch of Windows update starting on 10-4-13. Can I really restore back to then using Sys restore and could they have fouled up my computer. And....if so would the updates not affect Safe Mode shutdown?

You can sort by installed date in add or remove programs.

I have a bunch of windows updates and a couple of Adobe Flash player updates. Would un-installing the Windows updates screw up more than it would fix?

If its shutting down fine in safe mode, I would think the windows update are not the cause.

What is your reasoning for uninstalling the windows updates?

Just that is was all the updates were installed Windows started not shutting down.

I did stop what programs I could from loading using "Starter" program but still wouldn't shut down. About down to a re-install.
