How come I've never watched this show before?
It's like The Big Bang Theory was caught in a welding accident with a cop show...

I was reading the books for a few years before I got annoyed with the character's tendency to always get rescued in the most Deus Ex Machina like ways at the very last second and not even build a reputation for it... the show does not suffer so much from that.

And she's fake. She pretends to be nerdy and anti social, but it's so fake every scene with her is a cringe moment. Why doesn't Angel just kill her? Because he's too fat.

Every episode seems to have the same pattern: the serial killer kills someone every ten minutes, and then at the end, the last victim gets saved just in the nick of time.

I can't watch more than the rare episodes of police/medical procedurals, because it's pretty much the same exact thing every time. One of the rare exceptions for me was House, just because Hugh Laurie is such an absolute boss.

Reno 911 was pretty realistic. The amount research the writers must have done is impressive.
