New York City police authorities are investigating a series of unprovoked physical attacks in public places on people who are Jewish, in the form of what is called “the knockout game.”

The way the game is played, one of a number of young blacks decides to show that he can knock down some stranger on the streets, preferably with one punch, as they pass by. Often some other member of the group records the event, so that a video of that “achievement” is put on the Internet, to be celebrated.

The New York authorities describe a recent series of such attacks and, because Jews have been singled out in these attacks, are considering prosecuting these assaults as “hate crimes.”

Many aspects of these crimes are extremely painful to think about, including the fact that responsible authorities in New York seem to have been caught by surprise, even though this “knockout game” has been played for years by young black gangs in other cities and other states, against people besides Jews — the victims being either whites in general or people of Asian ancestry.

Attacks of this sort have been rampant in St. Louis. But they have also occurred in Massachusetts, Wisconsin and elsewhere. In Illinois the game has often been called “Polar Bear Hunting” by the young thugs, presumably because the targets are white.

The main reason for many people’s surprise is that the mainstream media have usually suppressed news about the “knockout game” or about other and larger forms of similar orchestrated racial violence in dozens of cities in every region of the country. Sometimes the attacks are reported, but only as isolated attacks by unspecified “teens” or “young people” against unspecified victims, without any reference to the racial makeup of the attackers or the victims — and with no mention of racial epithets by the young hoodlums exulting in their own “achievement.”

Despite such pious phrases as “troubled youths,” the attackers are often in a merry, festive mood. In a sustained mass attack in Milwaukee, going far beyond the dimensions of a passing “knockout game,” the attackers were laughing and eating chips, as if it were a picnic. One of them observed casually, “white girl bleed a lot.”

That phrase — “White Girl Bleed A Lot” — is also the title of a book by Colin Flaherty, which documents both the racial attacks across the nation and the media attempts to cover them up, as well as the local political and police officials who try to say that race had nothing to do with these attacks.

Chapter 2 of the 2013 edition is titled, “The Knockout Game, St. Louis Style.” So this is nothing new, however new it may be to some in New York, thanks to the media’s political correctness.

Nor is this game just a passing prank. People have been beaten unconscious, both in this game and in the wider orchestrated racial attacks. Some of these victims have been permanently disabled and some have died from their injuries.

But most of the media see no evil, hear no evil and speak no evil. In such an atmosphere, the evil not only persists but grows...

Holder has instructed his Justice Department that he will not prosecute a black person for a hate crime. Will we see him mobilize his CRS crew for this? Probably not since it puts the bad light on his people instead of the opposing candidates side.

interesting update.....I was driving south last Thursday morning, and listening to a Delaware talk radio hostess. She brought this up(amazing how stories get legs, quickly, but the wave of attacks against Orthodox Jews in NYC probably started this one). At any rate, she danced, at first, around the race issue, and then tried to press it a bit by inferring this 'game' was prevalent in the 'black community' and a relatively recent development. Over the next hour, she systematically got those arguments dismantled by callers, some of whom pointed out that the 'game' had been around since the early 1980s, and others who pointed out that recent attacks of this type in their towns(Philly, NYC, Detroit, ?Cleveland) were NOT exclusively by black perpetrators. Apparently, the only new wrinkle is the video recording part, a singular act of stupidity, common today, that has made police work a bit easier. Why nitwits keep recordings of assaults, robberies and/or illegal drug activity eludes me, but I suppose the youth of today are growing even dumber. Since you are claiming there is far more variety to the race of the targets than recent stories have implied you must have some data/numbers at your disposal for you to have made those observations. As to the age of the victims I don't see that as having any bearing on the validity of your assertion that race isn't a motive.

And the big elephant in the room that people are avoiding, even more than race is the cultural slide into sociopathic tendencies for the sub group!

I think it is safe to say that most people's friends, family and contemporaries would not be amused by seeing a video of them playing this 'game', nor would they be inspired by seeing such a video to go and stalk and violently attack some victims of their own so they could join in the 'fun'!

Further, there is a lot of anecdotal evidence that this is NOT limited to blacks, or of a racial nature of any sort, although the specific targeting of Hasidim in New York seems to be a separate case, which might be ethnic or religious in nature. In Phlly, the victims have been both black and white.....one was younger, one very elderly. The whole 'game' is stupid, and dangerous. It is not some sign,as Will suggests, of some unmentioned racial subculture. My final observation might be that if Will, or others, are truly concerned about violence out of America's black youth, they might work, politically, to establish and long-term economy that provides something for those youth to aspire to beyond generational poverty in competition with a rapidly sinking middle class joining them in poverty. Well since you are calling people racist I think you need all the advice you can be given. The The point of the thread, if you look beyond the shallow scope of racism that you like to bandy about whenever someone criticizes blacks, is a breakdown in cultural values. of course, had you EVER, at any time in your life, sat down and had a conversation with any woman, of any race, who is trying to raise a family on those oh-so-generous payments, you would realize EXACTLY how ludicrous you sound. 1. Provide free childcare.
2. Provide CASH incentives for successful educational participation
3. Provide pre-school education for every child(an Obama proposal, there).

5. Support adoption more consistently

Anecdotal is not sound evidence. Yet you cite it without linking to it and build your whole dismissal on it! There are reports that race was the the motive. You can go read them if you like. There were instances of attacks in numerous places that were all black on white.
As has been mentioned already, if the same number of attacks had been white on black you wouldn't be declaring a non racial motivation to it. You would be declaring Tea Party affiliations and looking for Bush family ties, etc. etc. We all know it...we all see your tactics play out here on a regular basis.
