UPDATE: P4 1.7 GHZ Rebuild Project
Up...and...RUNNING.
Thanks for the help guys. I'm sure you got me past a bunch of pitfalls!
For the record, I've got this bastich going with an 80 MM fan bolted to the HS with an adapter (still waiting on my 'official' cooling solution.
I even installed Win 98 on it! I went to install my Win98 SE and couldn't find my original disk, and the backup I'd burned had encountered difficulties when a CD ROM drive blew up and scratched the coating off the back. Anyone got a spare they wanna give up cheap??
Now tonight all I need to do is install drivers, accessories and software...Oh and my voodoo5.
WHOOHOO!

No, no, god no, no!
Mobius, just STFU before i fly down there and stuff a depleted uranium bullet up your ass.
WTF is wrong with making copies of Win98SE installation CD's.......aside from RIAA......not a gawd dammed thing. many people that i have repaired computers for like having win98se, its easy to use, has tons more stability than Win Me, and the first Win98.....and they want to keep it installed so i got a copy of it from my College instructors. i also have Win2k Pro, Win2k Server, WinXP Home and Win98.
i also have ISO Images of Win95 on file, Win Image files for Win 3.11, DOS 6.22, DOS 6.20, DOS 6.0 and even the rediculously old GI BASIC programming language.

Ace, he already has a working BACKUP copy. He wants a LEGAL CD. Stop skimming and read the damn post.AceCombat wrote:well i will put it back on topic for you. would you like Win98 or Win98SE? i have ISO Images and can also make bootable CD's. PM or email me
WA: You might want to check with MS and see if you can still get that CD replaced. You might have to pay for shipping, but its better than nothing.

Futhermore, the post you quoted was made AFTER I made mine so you might want to look up the definition for skimming. N00b.I even installed Win 98 on it!
