Yes, you guys are very skilled at "talking about the dynamics of race relations" with a topic titled "The racists ate my homework" which links to a media trap designed to excite people who have racial preoccupations. It's like I'm in a room full of Martin Luther King Jrs (b-day shout out!). I'm overwhelmed by the subtle, nuanced talk of race and the presidency coming from Will and The Gang (not to be confused with Kool & The Gang, who are actually cool). Well gosh, I better just step out and let the intellectual powerhouses here mash it up over such questions as "what difference does it make if the president is ever proven to be racist when he shares the responsibility of governance with literally hundreds of other people from all races who may or not be racist themselves governing a massive population with a history of racial unrest during a time when the problems of race are small compared to the economy and the heath and wellness of an increasingly financially embattled middle and lower class" and "how can we overcome problems of race when people of all levels of class and responsibility perpetuate stereotypes regardless of their own racial identity, if they have one at all since a growing percentage of the population comes from mixed race households, and if we can't overcome race, is it sufficient to simply ensure we are free of institutionalized racism?"

I'll come back in a day or so and read how you guys solved these problems, though I probably won't understand them because, you know, I'm massively out-classed by the intelligent discussions here.

I came back to see how you guy solved racism. I must say I am impressed! I was worried I wouldn't understand it because I had trouble reading the works of Heidegger and others while in school, but you guys have crafted something unique here. It was planned right from the start!

Now I see the genius in the opening statement, "The Racists Ate My Homework." This is a play on "the dog ate my homework" -- but in this case, racism is the dog. Like canines, racism has been with us since pre-civilization and cultivated into many forms, just like breeds of dog. Some are pedigree, like the blatant bigotry of the KKK, and others are mutts, manifesting more like a vague xenophobia than a specific hatred of one type of people. But dogs have been beneficial to the advancement of civilization. Racism too has helped by creating unity and that drives competition between races as we strive to out do each other in science, economics, the arts, and more. Each new achievement benefits the human race. But dogs today are not what they used to be. We have replaced their usefulness with machines and made many a stupid, useless breed. They are often no more than a charm in a woman's purse. Even military and service dogs are soon to be replaced with technology. Dogs have been reduced to a household comfort for loneliness and a warm body to share the couch with. So too are racist feelings, something outdated we hold onto in the face of the overwhelming solitude of existence.

I also like how you guys did the "who's a racist?" "He's a racist!" thing. Rather than write directly about racism you made the forum an interactive literary device, causing the reader to confront their own feelings or racism and ask "are they talking to me? am I a racist?" Very edgy stuff! I must say I am completely blown away. *** Bookmarked for later ***

Was there ever going to be a discussion? Seriously, look at the OP. Hyperbole based on propaganda designed to sell advertising dollars fed to a group who can't be tasked to think critically about what they read, resulting in a predictable circle-jerk. Has anyone here ever written an essay from a well-formed thesis? This place is just a sandbox. Why care who calls who what?
