Re-installing Win7 after a HD failure. Anyway to bypass Windows update one update at a time?

I just did this on a laptop the other day and installed 130 at a time...
Might help a bit that I replaced the failing HDD with a SSD so 130 updates only took a few minutes to install though...

Can't you download a service pack or something? Unless they haven't made one.
