Or, you could save all the bother and use the .bat or .exe file from D3.Descent.cx
.

Actually that takes longer because you have to enter your D3 path, command line options, and pilot name every time.
This is quicker, and it can be used with any server including ones that aren't visible on descent.cx.

Hmm I just tried it and the only thing it saved was my pilot name... the command line and main.exe path were both reset.
Also, considering the fact that I use a different pilot almost every time I play, saving the pilot name isn't very helpful. D3 Alias has a dropdown list from which I can select my pilot. This also prevents me from accidentally typing in an invalid pilot name.

Woops: cookie is updated properly but the form isn't populated correctly.
The user interface is less than elegant: you have to click the "refresh command line" button to update the cookie.
I'll see if I can stretch my HTML authoring skills to store last N pilot names and present them as a dropdown.

Hmm, that's weird. For me, the refresh command line button only saves the pilot name =/ Launching the game also saves the pilot name.

It doesn't work. You select the file and it says "Wrong file"

Testi, that is idiot-proofing to the extreme.
Definitely the aspirin-bottlecap of software.
If only computers were still that hard to use...
...wait, no. Then I'd be out of a job.

Just checked the code..if main.exe was in CAPS, it would reject it..forgot to lowercase the result of the browse.
Got some other stuff too.
