Finally got the source!
Today I finally got the Linux and MacOS source for D3. So right now I'm working on the Linux port, then I'll do the MacOS port.
This patch will eventually include a reworked PXO setup...PXO games won't require a login and will be interchangable with direct ip games. We'll probably keep the chat server, but I'm thinking of changing the way the game tracker works to use a http request to get a list of games. Then the user could add in custom URL to check in addition the standard one. The details aren't final, but Matt and Mike want to turn over PXO to the community, which means I will be making the server source available at some point.
I've got a lot of work to do now, as soon as a I have a testable Linux and Mac version I'll be looking for people to test. Thanks for your patience...I'll work as fast as I can.
P.S. My 4.5 year old Christopher can now complete level one, two, and four all by himself (except for getting through the subways, I do that for him) -- without cheating! Loving to play Descent must be genetic!

If somebody asked me: \"Hey Checkor - do you really think a 1.5 will ever be officially released?\" I always said: \"If Kevin says so, it will happen, but don't ask me of WHEN\".
So I am REALLY glad that my words seem to become true.
THANK YOU VAAAAAARRRRY MUCH Sir Bentley for your continued support to our community!
A big hug from my fellas at the german www.Descentforum.DE too!
If you need testers, tell us. We have buddies on MAC and Linux very much and I am administrating the Descentforum.NET Gameservers aswell...
So If we can help you in ANY way please tell us!

ccb, as I understand it, the Fusion engine was "up for grabs" the day wit was copyrighted. You sell it off to other developers just like the Quake 3 engine and the Half-Life engine. The fusion engine is rather antiquated4 years later. It is also 2 engines working together. One for outside environments and one for inside. As I recall, D3 was one of the first to offer this kind of transition.
