With part of the Ukraine's army defecting and Nato stepping up air sorties and ground patrols along the alliances eastern boarder I can see where we are slowly being sucked into another war. I mean in this day and age, what is going on is something you'd expect in middle eastern countries or Africa...not in civilized Europe. All it will take is one misstep and a cascade effect of retaliations will take hold. I just have to wonder if either side will be able to keep from using nukes if they begin to lose. If they can't, the world will be re-shaped in a not so pretty manner.

Once we've spent all that money and effort to get our foot in the door, who's going to force us to leave? Some pipsqueak despot? Russia? And why would we leave? We're entrenched there now with our bases. Dammit, I think that America should quit being the World's police IMHO. It's bankrupting us for one and undercutting our moral standing in the world.
