Seems I Was Right

Post by woodchip »

About Obama being incompetent:

"Forget for a moment that Republican outrage," said King on his CNN show this morning. "More and more Democrats in key 2014 races are calling for the president to get a spine, they say, and fire his Veterans Affairs secretary. And what more and more Democrats are saying privately is scathing, calling the president and his team detached, flat footed, even incompetent.

"Maggie Haberman," said King turning to a panelist, "that's what strikes me, what democrats are saying privately in the wakes of the healthcare.gov problems, they see a president who doesn't want to take command, doesn't want to act fast. Raising the competence question. Some Democrats, who believe in government, [are saying] this White House doesn't appear to have its hand on the lever."

Haberman of Politico agreed, cited more examples, and added: "All of this adds up to somebody who just doesn't seem at all involved."

Amen to that.

Well sh*t woody. What would be your response be if you had to deal with all the other problems going on in the world and in this country, then another giant piece of crap from the previous administration, and his party, was suddenly dropped on your doorstep? Got time to clean up one more giant mess left over from the past while doing all those other things required of a president? The whole VA mess was caused by the previous administration cutting funding and being responsible for drastically upping the numbers of vets that now have to use the VA system. Plus, you're forgetting about that Republican forced austerity that hit the VA hard. Now it's come home to roost.

I'll say it again...he wanted the job.

And being underfunded is no excuse for breaking the law.

Maybe, but I'd like to see you work through the constant barrage of racial hate this guy gets.

Heh, I grew up white in North Philly.

No, I didn't have a job to do, but I learned how to deal with it.

He should have known what was coming...he is the smart type right?

What the hell?

That is a crock of feces.
Obama knew in 2007 what was going on and campaigned on a promise to fix it.

Why do you want to say he just found out about it? Because that's the story he tells today?!? Lol!

Try this for a clearer view on what he did and didn't do: click for details of how ineffective he is

Well, I'll have to admit Will, Obama has broken a lot of his promises, so I can't defend him any further. He bit off more than he could chew.

Further interesting comments:

"The candidate of unbridled optimism in 2008 is now cynical, bowed, and nearly beaten—a leader whose excuse for failure amounts to, I can't lead because Republicans won't let me. By the way, that is not a conservative talking point; it's rooted in dozens of conversations I've had in the past 17 months with Democrats."

"Rarer still is one side 100 percent right, which is why Obama is guilty of false purity. Obama's intellectual dishonesty has prevented him from learning on the job, which is what's required of great presidents—the kind who overcome obstacles that others whine about."

Well, Republicans have been a pretty obstinate lot ever since Obama was elected. They can't even agree with each another, let alone a Democrat.

That's fine and all dude, but can you honestly sit there and say that you gave the guy a fair chance at the beginning? From the day he announced his campaign in '07, you've never had anything other than negative things to say about him. Whether it was Rev. Wright or something else, you've always had a beef with this guy. You really care about this stuff that much?

My god dude, stop. We don't point out obvious things like that in E&C. There is another forum for that, although I don't know what the name of it is...

And my posts about him are the cause for his ineptitude? Perhaps if Obama thought beyond how things reflect on him and tried to do his job, I might have a better opinion of him.

Of course your posts didn't cause anything. Nobody outside the twenty people that post on the forum give a ★■◆● about anything you say. While the current President has certainly done things on his own to cause problems, he has certainly been impeded beyond any other President in history.

Hell, your side even took issue with the First Lady trying to get kids to eat healthier. Childhood obesity is a tremendous problem in this country, what does your side do to help combat that? Oh yeah, they bring frigging cookies to a school to try and make a point. I could go on and on, but I also know that whatever I say goes in one of your ears and out the other.

Remember when your side said Obama was building FEMA re-education camps? How's that going?
Remember when your side said Obama was going to allow the UN to police America? How's that going?
Remember when your side said Obama was going to institute sharia law? How's that going?

Shall I keep going?

Point is, from day one your side has come up with the craziest, most impossibly idiotic things to say about this guy. It took your side six years to break him, you really feel all that good about it?

*edit--My favorite one. Remember when your side said the President was a snob because he wanted everyone to be able to get a college education? Yeah, real frigging douchebag of a President right there.

You aren't engaging in any kind of honest substantive conversation if you are hiding behind the ridiculous tactic of assigning any outrageous comment made by any person to 'his side's' position.

By your reasoning 'your side' is afraid if we send too many troops to Guam the island will tip over and capsize.
Your side thinks we need to let the congress vote for a huge bundle of legislation before being allowed to know what is in the laws being voted for.
Your side thinks that because Obama has a Muslim sister that on the day he became president the world would become a safer place because Islamic terrorists would know he cares about them.
Your side thinks black men should be allowed to sell crack cocain because it's the only job the white man has left them.

And those are just some of the whacky things your side's Congressmen and President have said!

I could dredge up all sorts of completely whacko stuff like environmentalists who think humans should commit suicide to save the planet and assign that to you as you have done with Woody.

If your best contribution is to further poison the discourse just what is your purpose?

Hank Johnson, Dem congressman, questioning a U.S. Admiral in Congress says he is afraid the island will tip over if too many marines are stationed there.

President Obama articulates his unique blend of naivete and hubris in how he thinks the world will react to his election

And you can go look for video of Maxine Waters interview where she tells us that black men should be exempt from drug laws because white men ruined things for them. I believe Spike Lee was one of the other guests and don't recall who's show it was but it was her and Spike going off on the CIA crack conspiracy thing that they both were stuck on for a while...
