on youtube there's some videos of them exploding and killing people . The mantra "a rocket is a bomb, hacked for slow release" seems to apply.
Still, gotta break some eggs to make an omelette. If you don't have tons of kids excited enough to risk blowing their faces off, you won't have enough grass-roots excitement for your society to pursue a space program. It's a catch-22. Maybe something about the brightest flames burning quickest? Or maybe the dumbest flames burn brightest... nah that's terrible .
You gotta have the right mix of dumb and smart. Smart enough to be able to make dangerously powerful things, but dumb enough to actually press the GO button . We stand on the scorched shoulders of giants hehe
