Re: ISIS thoughts
Both murderers were on the list, had passports seized and both are associated with a third radical who likely made his way to Syria.
They were all planning to go join the Islamic state thugs. It doesn't matter how devout or new they were to the jihad. It is the poisonous jihad that attracts them for whatever validation or reward they imagine it will bring.
Yes he was a crazy person. Drawn like a moth to an extremely crazy flame.

Of course if it does turn out that the shooter wasn’t a terrorist, it will become the media’s sworn duty to downplay the other one who was a terrorist, and killed a serviceman with a CAR and up play the nasty gun nut.
Oh damn, I keep forgetting…the one who was murdered by a person using a motor vehicle is not statistically significant, therefore he doesn’t count.

Re: ISIS thoughts
Ironically they found large stashes of chemical weapons in Iraq.
Artillery shells loaded with chemical agents that they (Bush et al) kept quiet because they had expected newer stock and at that point holding up old stuff that we had originally provided Saddam as proof he had the stuff didn't give them the political will to revive the debate.
Our soldiers, who were destroying what they thought were conventional artillery shells were exposed to the chemical agents and ordered to keep quiet about it.
The news only leaked out recently after the VA denied proper treatment to some of them.

but if you want to keep believing the "saddam had a secret WMD program", you go right ahead. While you're at it, say hello to the tooth fairy.

Re: ISIS thoughts
I notice Ferno does not refute what was posted but instead re-states it as a "secret weapons program".
There was a 'secret program' but as it turns out the secret was that they werent really making much of anything! Which surprised almost everyone including lots of Dems who will now deny ever having said what they said even though it is on record. It helps to have the media on your side in those moments...no one to replay your previous comments except Fox News. Keeps the dumbmasses on the plantation.
There were WMD's used by Saddam. He used them and he wanted to develop more. The pressure we put on him via the UN had his people hiding bits and pieces of the hardware and the left over inventory all over the place, no doubt stuck between being the one to tell him they got caught by the inspectors or that they had done no work out of fear of the inspectors.
Saddam wanted everyone to think he was the big bad guy with lots of big bad WMD's and he had Russia and France whispering in his ear telling him they would never vote for a U.N. invasion so he didn't flinch when Bush came knocking.
None of them thought Bush would go cowboy on them. Big mistake, especially for Saddam.
Anyway, he had refused to allow a proper accounting via UN inspections so eventually we went in and found out just how little was there. Not enough to fend off the political sharks who only months before were rushing to any tv camera to say how they knew he had the stuff...now, smelling political blood in the water, they began chanting Bush lied People Died.
But Ferno, there was lots of the old stuff hidden here and there as our soldiers learned out the hard way when they thought they were destroying conventional munition dumps.
Also, as an aside, right before the invasion there was a convoy of Russian trucks moving stuff from Iraq military sites into Syria. Cant say what it was but not likely it was Hostess Twinkies and baby food. Either way ISIS is now in possession of both Iraqi and Syrian turf where those kind of nasty toys were kept/found so if they have some of that stuff, be it vintage U.S. stuff, or Russian stuff, or some Iraqi recipe, it is not good for the home team since ISIS isn't afraid of anyone, certainly not the U.S.

So, after reading the rest of your post... you're essentially saying the entire US armed forces was too incompetent to find any WMD, yet ISIS found plenty. That's some funny ★■◆● right there man.

Why not quote what I did say instead of recharacterize it as something you can ridicule?Ferno wrote:Because there's nothing TO refute. Will Robinson wrote:I notice Ferno does not refute what was posted but instead re-states it as a "secret weapons program".

I said they found lots of old stuff too late in the game to have any good reason to try and use it in the political food fight.
Do you want to refute that they found it? That our soldiers are suffering from exposure to it when they started dealing with it thinking it was something else?
Re: ISIS thoughts
because it's not necessary in this case. Oh and it's not a recharacterization. It's an observation. Will Robinson wrote: Why not quote what I did say instead of recharacterize it as something you can ridicule?
At the risk of stating the BLEEDING ★■◆●ing OBVIOUS, I'm refuting your hilarious "Saddam had wmd" and "OHNOES! ISIS is super scary!" post.Do you want to refute that they found it? That our soldiers are suffering from exposure to it when they started dealing with it thinking it was something else?

So it is obvious you want to refuse to believe what was found:Ferno wrote:At the risk of stating the BLEEDING ★■◆●ing OBVIOUS, I'm refuting your hilarious "Saddam had wmd" and "OHNOES! ISIS is super scary!" post.
"From 2004 to 2011, American and American-trained Iraqi troops repeatedly encountered, and on at least six occasions were wounded by, chemical weapons remaining from years earlier in Saddam Hussein’s rule.
In all, American troops secretly reported finding roughly 5,000 chemical warheads, shells or aviation bombs, according to interviews with dozens of participants, Iraqi and American officials, and heavily redacted intelligence documents obtained under the Freedom of Information Act."
Now Ferno, here's a task for you. Find where the linked article is just reporting made up bull★■◆●.

Re: ISIS thoughts
Ferno won't ever acknowledge the truth once he digs in.
He went on and on about how the IRS can't seize property and funds without winning the case in court first etc.
Even after linking him to field agents reports where they posted the cases on the government web site listing the seizures and corroborated news reports of those cases in the L A Times and giving him links to the law quoted on IRS web sites that proves he is wrong.
He is right regardless of how very wrong he is.
