Re: in mother Russia, we find sporting car in woods.
One day and I was so dragged out of the ravine. I just pulled out not people, and trucks. And, my car is still turned upside down. And my car was new. Can you believe that a machine which flew into a ravine and rolled over, did not receive any damage? Including me. There was a lot of snow. So I escaped with slight shock
Re: in mother Russia, we find sporting car in woods.
How did that even happen?

You mean that the crash didn't even peel off or rip that convertible top?

Yes, this car roof is covered with a tarpaulin. This UAZ-469. And I have not bought it in a store, and in the army. Reinforced suspension, engine heating, reinforced high-voltage wires, the build quality is better than the civilian version. The only thing I regret that I was forced to dismantle her military radio station
This is very true what you said. Because when I got home, I saw two trucks that had fallen into a ravine and completely burned.tunnelcat wrote:LOTS of very soft snow....and luck.

Re: in mother Russia, we find sporting car in woods.
That's some tough tarpaulin. You put our civilian tarps over anything and one sneeze will tear them to shreds.
Now, I do happen to own an old U.S. military surplus tarp. It stinks with old age and is as heavy as lead, but it'll never tear or leak water.

In extreme conditions of life in Siberia, you'll be able to do anything. I have been several times in Siberia, and in the summer and winter. There, people have a keen sense of reciprocity, since there every day is a test of survival. In Moscow, if the street will beat a man, all the people around will pass indifferently.

In my town if I try walking (exercise is a foreign concept to Texans) people will pull over and ask if I need a lift. I'll say, "Oh thanks! I'm just walking 'cuz it's a nice day!" They'll look at me funny, chat a bit with me, and drive off.sigma wrote:In extreme conditions of life in Siberia, you'll be able to do anything. Well, here you are talking about ethics. Neighbors in the homes are very friendly towards each other, and in Moscow. I meant that if on the street or in public transport someone to intercede for the person being bullied bullies, it is a rarity indeed. In my opinion, the expression "dog eats dog" is true for all megacities.
