Back to the Lochner Era

Post by Tunnelcat »

Welcome to the new world order and our future laissez-faire economic policy, maybe curtsey of SCOTUS. It depends on how they rule in this Amtrak case. I guess they may think it's OK to let the fox run the hen house. :P

Apparently, we are talking about the fact that the capitalists have an impact on power, power has an influence on the judiciary in favor of the capitalists. Almost as in Russia. With only one difference. If the US capitalists control the government, the court and security services, the Russian security services control of the capitalists, the government and the court.

I'm beginning to like this Russian. Our 2 countries should heed his words because they apply to us both.
Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn wrote:Untouched by the breath of God, unrestricted by human conscience, both capitalism and socialism are repulsive.
Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn wrote:In our country the lie has become not just a moral category but a pillar of the State.
This one applies to the Crimea thread and the U.S.'s reaction to Putin.
Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn wrote:For us in Russia, communism is a dead dog, while, for many people in the West, it is still a living lion.

You too erudite for American :) You brought the exact quote, straight to the point.
I can add here only quote Fyodor Tyutchev, which was written in the 19th century, but is still relevant.

The mind can not understand Russia,
Common yardstick can not be measured:
She has become very special -
In Russia one can only believe.
