Who needs a gun…when a sock full of soda cans will do.

not a sculptor, but it would seem you'd get a different effect.

An anti-gun stunt--a political statement baptized in charity... for a woman... by someone who obviously doesn't collect guns for their historical value...

Re: creative use of guns
Ok, so a guy who has the luxury of armed body guards, security details, gated communities, etc. etc. decides to symbolically unilaterally disarm.
Yet he turns out numerous movies where the actively armed man is quite central to success so the net result of his 'symbolic' offering to the culture is still quite armed and dangerous.
Let me know when the street gangs decide to unilaterally disarm...even if they get to sleep with Charlize for their effort I'll still be moved.
As to Penns sculpture, it's a weak public relations gesture. Smart? Only in Hollywood.

Not to mention, he may still be carrying a personal piece, regardless of what he did with his “collection”.

Actually, assumptions are the order of the day, per the OP (you hypocrite). I'll retract if it turns out you know either of them personally. On the other hand every one of my "assumptions" is supported by this brief article that you linked, and I'd be happy to connect the dots if you're ignorant and not just sore.callmeslick wrote:a boatload of assumptions, there, Thorne.
