Broken laptop display

Post by Dedman »

I currently have a ThinkPad i1200, Model 1161-210 that has a P/N 05K9630 HPA LCD display I've destroyed.
I found a really good deal on a P/N 05K9626 which is a TFT display made by Sanyo. Both P/N's are contained in IBM's parts list for my computer. The question is will the TFT display work in place of the HPA display?

you would probably have to call IBM on that issue.

Based on the part info, they may not be interchangeable. They both use the same FL inverter, but different FPC's and rear covers. Better double-check with IBM.
