I thought HTML 5 was supposed to get rid of Flash?

I'm sure you've seen how badly made flash animations slow your computer to a crawl.
Even "well written" flash scripting and video hogs your computer's resources unnecessarily.

Not only does it suck, it's a constant security issue. I hear Flash has been discontinued on Android anyway. But I think the animation weenies love Flash, so it's not going to die soon on the PC, unfortunately. I'm tired of having to constantly update Flash on 2 browsers, even though I don't use IE.
