Descent Underground - Kickstarter

Post by WarAdvocat »

Looks like this is coming down to the wire. As I post, the current tally is $525,000.00 of $600,000.00 raised

Get the word out to YOUR crowd... and even if you're not fully convinced, why not give up your starbucks today and drop a fiver on this, just in case?

Currently it only needs $48K to succeed! It's very close to its goal so it's a good time to pledge if we really want to see a new Descent game, w00t!

Down to about 17K. Still a bit of a nailbiter but looking promising.

I have 7 (seven) old cars and 15 old computers. They can travel and work. As I will give them to you over the Internet? Come to Moscow and take it for just a nominal fee. I pay more taxes than the ride on these cars.

Holy ★■◆●, they actually reached the goal with 3 hours to spare. I didn't think it would happen. I guess I better come up with the money I pledged... and a new computer to play this game on.

Do you need a Kickstarter for their Kickstarter?

I increased my pledge even after it had already reached the goal. Figured, what the hell... :P

Now I really need to stop spending money, thanks to the glasses I ordered last week I'm like 150% over budget for the last few weeks. :P

Must be nice to have extra money to donate to such a worthy cause.

A lot behind after being unemployed for about 3 months. (Working at WalMart since October 2014 to the present time.)

My current apartment complex isn't working with me... So I have a new place lined up which will be about 5/9's of the current lunatic rate that the idiots at the current place are charging me... Paid over $900 for an apartment that should have been about $630 last month.

Looking forward to a new addition to the Descent Family of Games.

Sirwinner:

My condolences to you. I was in a similar situation for several years following the recent financial meltdown. It's really sad when you can't even scrape up a few bucks to treat yourself with. I was lucky - I managed to find those few bucks and pay the bills too. I'd rent a couple movies on redbox almost every week. I'd have been able to give up 2 weeks of movies to donate $5.00 to this game. Sorry you couldn't. Luckily, I donated enough for you AND me =) My employment is back on track these days. Best of luck to you in that department.

Somehow I'm betting you'll find $30.00 to spend on this game if / when it becomes a reality. Can't wait to make you explode in the mines. Then I'll flare you ;)

Maybe one of the higher level donors here can give SirWinner one of their extra copies? I know a few people here pledged enough that they get at least 4 copies of the game in their rewards package.

At any case, there's always a chance to buy it on Steam (when released of course) as a gift for him, unless SirWinner doesn't has a Steam account.
