Jetmen

Post by Tunnelcat »

As close to flying like Superman as a human will ever get. I'd absolutely love to try this out. Just WOW!

My inner Superman fan revolts at the comparison, Neat stuff, but to start talking about "Superman" you'd have to have a lot more control at much lower speeds while still being capable of high speeds. If I was going for Superman I'd go in a much different direction. This is basically strapping yourself precariously to the underside of an RC jet.

It's as close to flying like Superman as we humans will get right now. It's still looks fun as hell.

Not true. I can dress in spandex and lie to my girlfriend about where I was during the day, just like superman.

Cat, just ride at a private airport, give them $ 800 and you will become a pilot and fly a real helicopter

Oh God, now I have to bleach my brain just to get that image out of my head. :P

I've done that sigma. I used to co-pilot my parent's airplane when they went on long trips and I also took several flying lessons. It's just not the same.

Good grief NO sigma! I'm not THAT rich. My parents used to own a plane and my mother had a commercial pilots license and hired out, but not anymore. I was frequently co-pilot on some of their trips however. My dad is now too old to fly, my mother passed away in 2000 and it got too expensive anyway.

If your mother was a pilot in business aviation and it was making flights to Russia and to Europe, maybe we knew each other and I talked with her... Although most likely she was a sport aircraft pilot

You're right sigma, mostly sport. Small twin engine propeller aircraft. Wouldn't make it to Russia very easily.

Issac, I bet Putin would love one of those flying, laser shooting bears. So manly, and so Russian. :P

Not like this guy though.

tunnelcat....
I will tell you great news. It is in the U.S. and Canada, the bears are almost raccoons, digging in the garbage. The Russian Bear is a ruthless killer, and you would be better not to meet with him. I can give you many examples...
But I will not do it, because you're a girl.

Our full grown grizzlies aren't something you'd want to run from either. That guy in the video was lucky the bear was young. The older ones get pissed off and eat you.

But you speak of your killer Russian bears. You mean like this one? :P

Cat, I do not want to show you a video or photos of people who were able to survive after a meeting with a bear. One day, near my house, which is located in the Moscow region, wolves tore my neighbor. The nearest forest where I hunt pretty good bear it Tver region.

We've got cougars in my neighborhood. They have killed people in the U.S., although no one's been attacked in my neighborhood. I DO wish they'd eat more of the damn deer around here........

But I definitely would NOT want any bears around here. They'll attack people when provoled, break into homes and cause destruction and become one hell of a big nuisance.

You mean you don't want a black panther as a pet? The skin always looks much better when still on the animal. :P

Get her a Bengal kitten. They still have some of their wild heritage and skin patterns, but can be kept as domestic pets. Much more fun as a pet than as a coat to wear.

Sergeant, you understand me

I have done differently. Now I teach her to drive a car. And she delighted. I think now she will think of her own car :) For me it is much easier than to find for her skin black panther :)

I saw your first post before you edited it sigma, but I understood your meaning. I didn't think you wanted a babushka like me, especially since I'm not Russian and already married.

Yes, do teach your girlfriend to drive. She'll enjoy it. But be careful though. She might want you to buy her a car next. A kitten might be cheaper.

I want to spank you good oak twigs in a Russian bath (banya (sauna) with smoke!

I am sure that a cat or dog can not buy in any case. The best pet must either be presented or a foundling, in my opinion.

Thanks.....I think. :o

I did the sauna thing years ago at a resort. I'd sit in there and cook for a while, then race out and jump into a very cold lake. Positively bracing. Wasn't naked doing it though. Only the Russians and Scandinavians are not modest when taking a sauna.

Banya is not a sauna... This is a real Russian banya.

Sauna is just entertainment. After a visit to the Russian banya, you will feel that you are born again.

A hot steamy room to cook yourself in, followed by a dose of cold snow or water. Close enough. Although most sauna or steam bath patrons don't slap themselves with those wet veniks like the Russians do in their banyas. But I agree, it sounds quite relaxing.
