What hacked site do you mean? http://pikbox.ru/ ? This hosting works long and stable.

As for the pirate game servers. Yes, I first try to play in a hacked version of the game, if I have doubts about buying the game.
I am sure for 90% that Descent: Underground and Sol Contingency will be hacked and made public for free games 2-3 months after the official releases. I'm patiently waiting for these historic events. If I want to have these games always, I'm ready to buy the official version.
