thanks for the link(ill-behaved site, likely my issue)--well put, I'd say. I listened to the speech and basically waited to see the whole of it, and was struck by how consistent his point of view is. Not a matter of 'conservative' or 'liberal', but focused on reverence for what he views as the whole of God's creation. It was impressive, and I've been struck, thus far, at how little feedback I'm reading while sitting here digesting lunch. I'm sure the TeeVee is chock full of bloviation, but, then again, it generally is. What was your take, as I was hoping that was included with the link?

I wonder if we can eke out at least a few days of political goodwill in the aftermath of the address before those 535 dumbfucks return us to the usual bull★■◆●.

I'm curious to know what struck you as funny.ThunderBunny wrote:This is one atheist that was laughing his ass off.
I read the transcript of the speech and the articles: In general, I agreed with the pope and the articles. If I have an argument with the pope's message, In some ways I felt it lacked teeth... in that it didn't feel like enough of a call to action on an individual level to me... but maybe what I'd look for is too much for the nation as a whole. We will see what happens. The sceptic in me says that real change won't happen until the American people take it upon themselves to develop a more nuanced view and stop accepting what the news channels and what the politicians are giving them.
