Guys, I think it's about time we get back into the mines and play some CTF!

Krom has graciously agreed to be our host again this year.

We will start out with some old favorites: CTF in Varicose Veins followed by CTF in Halcyon.

I think I should also mention that many of us like to meet on Mumble in the Descent Rangers channel, and whoever plays is more than welcome to join us!

We don't always use it strategically; sometimes it's just to taunt each other and have fun. But it makes it easier to keep track of what is going on.

These games can be found using the Descent trackers (such as http://www.descentservers.net/index.php?show=d3_server), but I will also provide IP addresses later on.

Please let me know if you plan to make it; I like having an idea of how many pilots are coming so I can lure more pilots in with the numbers.

I wasn't sure what to expect last night. I hadn't heard much in response to my posts; only 1 def yes and 2 maybes. But we had a 12 player game in Varicose Veins! I was flying around fighting not only my opponents, but also the rust that had accumulated on my ship over the past couple months, but I had a great time! The Pyro_GL handles a lot differently than the GX, and I had lost my edge with the MD.
The game was close, 12 Blue - 11 Red, but was cut short by the server timing out and restarting.
We then moved to Halcyon. Personally I think we probably should have stayed in VV with the number of players we still had. Halcyon was crazy to say the least. We played for a while, but then one by one everyone decided they had had enough of the mayhem and called it a night. But it was fun while it lasted. After everyone was gone, Mental Floss and I had fun playing anarchy in Halcyon's echoing halls before I, too, called it a night.

I'm glad so many people showed up last night, thanks guys!

I'm busy the next couple fridays, so the next game probably wont be until March 18th.
