First off, I'm not defending Obama. I've already had my buyer's remorse. Second, being smart is about engaging the brain's gears before opening one's mouth. Smart is someone who knows when to use force and when to use diplomacy. Diplomacy isn't even in Trump's vocabulary judging from his rallies. Trump is a loose cannon with a big mouth, a temper to match and an ego the size of Manhattan. Face reality woody. His border wall is a pipe dream that we can't afford and Mexico will never, ever pay for. It's all empty rhetoric. Immigrants come here because business people like Trump have a constant demand the cheap labor they provide, so they keep hiring them and encouraging more of them to come here. All those glorious Trump promises are nothing but empty ones he'll never be able to keep. You WILL have buyer's remorse, just as a whole lot of Dems had buyer's remorse with Obama and will have buyer's remorse if they elect Hillary.
