Do you really need to ask me that in a thread about how I'm considering voting for Trump?

So now is the time for Congress to pass a law requiring ALL presidential candidates to release their income tax statements during any presidential race. No exceptions. We need to know who the tax swindlers and manipulators are before we elect them to the highest office in the land.

Not being obscenely wealthy myself, this is just a guess, but most of these people likely only have a general knowledge of their tax strategy. Strategies that will have come from specialists well versed on the various techniques of avoidance.

And thus ends my defense of the fabulously wealthy.

I would, however, still support the exposure and shaming of these people.

2 words. Panama Papers. And guess what, Trump IS actually listed in the database of those leaked papers, but he's only linked to people and companies who are part of the offshore world, not actually named. However, linkage is close enough for me to taint him and any of his business dealings. Rot always spreads in the same barrel of apples.

On top of that, Hillary is also listed in that database too. So Trump and Hillary have something in common. They're both at least associated, or linked with, known rich tax dodgers, money launderers and cash hiders. So we have both a crooked Hillary AND a crooked Trump. No wonder both of these candidates have the highest unpopular rating in recent history.

Bill Clinton associates with a know pedophile. Does this make Bill a pedophile also. And since Hillary associates with Bill, does this make her a pedophile? Hillary gets elected, might have to keep a eye on Bill and Hillary when they host the annual White House Easter egg hunt.

not being obscenely wealthy either, but well off enough to have investment advisors, an accountant and a land management expert, I'd say you do a damned fine job of guessing. Those types know every loophole, every tax tradeoff, and since their pay is to varying degrees a reflection of how much money they save/make for you, they'll stretch things every bit as far as the client allows them. Note those last three words, because that is what separates the respectable affluent folks from the ★■◆●-weasels. Mpst folks with a moral compass know where to draw the boundries for their hired advisors. A few demand that the envelope be pushed, and even broken and expect their bidding to be done. They should not merely be exposed or shamed, because most have no shame(see Donald Trump, for example), and many are also publicly exposed already. No, they should be prosecuted and jailed if guilty.

Now, if you wish to consider all the loopholes, tradeoffs and dodges legally written into law that ONLY benefit investment income, and thus, vastly benefit the wealthy over anyone else, you have my attention. It forever astounds me, watching the broad mass of Americans willing to blame utterly ridiculous sources, persons and ideologies, for the harms done by a system completely biased in favor of investment income.

a little more fleshing out with speculation about what Trump does with his income and taxation. From a couple of the mentioned loopholes that I utilize, these are fully legal(the stuff about conservation easements and pushing income all into cap gains brackets), so I am in no way suggesting that the Donald breaks the law(the offshore stuff might run afoul). I am merely saying that he is not a candidate with either the knowledge of, nor interest in, the well being of the average worker.

Yeah, I've found the Google translator to be lacking in accuracy. The Russian language must be too tough for poor little Google to handle. Maybe Google needs more Russians on their team? You'd think that Sergey Brin would be able to make his translator work a little better since he's Russian-born. But since he left the USSR at age 6, perhaps he left something behind in his birth homeland, like understanding the language.

By the way, if Hillary is elected as the Democratic nominee, I'm predicting we'll get Trump elected as president next November. The U.S. will become the laughing stock of the world, who's being lead by an orange-haired, foul mouthed, psychotic egomaniac. By the way, Google the definition of the word "trump" as it's used in Britain.

And by the way, is not even a compliment. I said it before. TC, you either have very good education, or you have Russian roots, but often I don't need to use a translator to understand you.

No, I think Trump will either makes us even more of a laughing stock, or get us into WWIII. His ego, temper and thin skin will be our nation's undoing. Most bullies don't like to lose and Trump is a bully. Plus, there's a distinct possibility he will usher in the next Great Depression with his wanting to cut taxes for corporations and the wealthy and repealing Dodd Frank.

Hillary opens up 11 point lead in one month of folks actually taking a serious look at Trump, in the same poll that had them tied on May 4(Reuters, et al). Nothing to see here, but feel free to join me in making some popcorn and watching this steaming pile of ★■◆● blow up in the GOP faces. as I wrote, in an open note to foreign readers in another spot:

Going in, some polls from May suggested a close race between disliked candidates. Suddenly, the polling seems to be breaking to a 10 percent plus margin for HIllary. It is likely that the pros working for Clinton have seen Trumps support eroding a couple weeks ago, which explains the tactics this week. First Obama, then Hillary, then Michelle Obama got on the airwaves in speeches eviscerating Trump with his own words. Almost as if he was IN ON THE PLAN, Trump proceeds to--Attack a judge as 'Mexican' and thus inherently prejudiced in a court case. For the record, while of Hispanic descent, the judge is a native of Ohio. Trump also got bad press for the case the judge is dealing with(a fraudulant education scheme), and sort of sitting on donations to his offices intended for veterans groups. Today, he doubled-down and referred to some poor person of color with, "look at my African American!". As David Axelrod(as sharp a politcal campaign head as there is) noted, those 4 seconds of tape will play thousands of times from now to November. The Dem strategy is clearly aimed at dropping Trump fast, and watching him fall apart, panic, lash out(confirming attacks for being thin-skinned) and further confirm his unworthiness of trust by the electorate. This one may well be over before either convention. Fear not, foreigners.......America has a LOT of stupid people, but it isn't ALL of us.

after writing the above, it occurred to me how sound that strategy is. Trump's real opportunity at an uptick was always going to be the ability to create a reality TV spectacle at his Cleveland convention. That will be a miserable failure, if he arrives there down 13% in the polls, dragging down GOP candidates around the nation, and their rules have them stuck with him. Note, too, that the Obama crew started the attack in earnest AFTER, and ONLY AFTER Paul Ryan had finished the process of hitching the GOP train to the Trump locomotive. To complete the analogy, the Dems(and Obama is a loyal party guy, just waiting for a moment like this) plan on taking out the bridge and watching the whole train go off the rails.

Not sure where you are getting your info but only a 1.5% difference between the 2. Not sure where you are getting a 10% margin for Hillary Clinton.:

look up Reuters/Ipso Associates, May 2016 and June 2016 nationwide likely voter polling. A couple of old Dem pols I spoke with over the past few days were telling me to watch the polls, with a gleeful tone. Anyhow, it will be interesting, as it has been all along, to see this play out. I can see a season without a real lull for a good while. I think I see what the Dems are attempting, and if they pull it off, things could get real ugly, even before Trump's convention. If so, that alone would cost him the election. At the rate he keeps blundering with the mouth, he could be looking at sub-10 percent of the black vote, which has been beefed up by attempts at voter supression. He seems to be looking to go sub 10 percent with Hispanics, who have been registering like crazy, nationwide. Trump is toast if that holds, and by waiting for the whole party to hitch itself to Trump, I suspect the heavy-hitter Dems are licking their chops.

I've noticed the Clinton camp strategy is working, for now. She's not likable, so they are keeping her out of the spotlight at all costs. From a nomination standpoint she had Sanders beat right from the start and nothing will change that, so she keeps quiet. She can work toward appeasing the left after the nomination. I've also noticed enthusiasm for Trump is waning. As the presumptive nominee there should be a lot more big names getting behind him publicly, but they just aren't there. I get the feeling the GOP gave up on this election sometime around Rubio's departure. Mrs Clinton will stomp Trump in debates, not because she's good at it, but because he's simply not up to her caliber (that's not a slight on him, it's just reality). Still, she'll have to be very careful not to alienate Sanders supporters while somehow getting them to the polls in November. It goes along with what everyone knew last year: Mrs Clinton is really a Republican candidate trying to appeal to the left. That's her biggest problem, not Trump.

vision has it right, to my view. Essentially, Hillary is a moderate Republican, running for the Dems(Bill was, too), and depends on keeping her left flank on line and Trump being Trump. If she does that, her margin of victory might be YUGGGGGEEEEE.

Wow, what a load of flatulence. Black vote is up for Trump because of black voter suppression? Sub 10% with latinos who are conservative by nature and the men are macho enough they'll never vote for Hillary? And certain conservative pollsters are saying Trump could have a landslide win like Reagan did. Hillary just has too many skeletons and Trump will have a Halloween style picnic with them.

not what I said. Black registration is up as a response to attempts at voter suppression. Not good for Trump. At all.

Sub 10% with latinos who are conservative by nature and the men are macho enough they'll never vote for Hillary?
sure seems like a lot of young latino males tossing crap at Trump supporters. I'll wager you right here that Trump won't see 20% of the Hispanic vote. If so, he's toast, with all other demographics holding CLOSE to normal.

And certain conservative pollsters are saying Trump could have a landslide win like Reagan did. Hillary just has too many skeletons and Trump will have a Halloween style picnic with them.
It will be interesting when you find so much as one pollster willing to make that guess. I mean, sure, there were one or two thinking Romney would win in 2012, but in this case, a Trump landslide? As for Hillary's skeletons, they have been warmed over for nearly 20 years, nothing new or shocking to come, no matter how presented. However, the current strategy at work, cutting Trump to ribbons before he starts, will effectively kill any traction that can be gained there. Also, previous opponents have found through repeated polling that personal type attacks on Hillary(especially over Bill stuff) get so far and then boomerang back on the attacker. Ask Guiliani......

Trump is making it damn difficult for his Republican suckups to tolerate him right now. With Trump going into full character assassination mode with the federal judge who's overseeing his Trump University fraud case, he's really showing his blatant racism and displaying his temper like some dictator who is not getting his way with the system he has to live within. He'd rather change the system to benefit himself instead of having to deal with the inevitable outcome of his crooked dealings. I doesn't matter that this judge, even though he is of Latino heritage, is a natural born American citizen.

Then he takes a swipe at the nation's only Latina state governor, Susana Martinez, who's also a fellow Republican. Maybe not for long though. So long Latino, Latina AND the women vote in one foul-mouthed fell swoop and say hello President Hillary next November.

Actually, since the 80s of the last century in Germany, resides one of the largest Russian-speaking diaspora in the world.
That's because Eastern Germany was conquered by Russia at the end of WWII, becoming part of the U.S.S.R. The Russians living there are relatives of Russian transplants that either migrated into the area, or who were already there, after WWII. A large percentage are Jewish Russians that moved there after the fall of the Soviets. By the way, the U.S. also has around 3.1 million Russian diaspora. We even have in my small town a genuine Russian Orthodox Church.
