WNU Editor: This issue has clearly gotten under the skin of US President Obama .... but attacking Donald Trump on his use of the term "radical Islam" is missing the bigger picture. The fact is that many Muslim countries follow sharia law .... and much of sharia law is opposite to what Western culture and its laws stand for. The role and treatment of women in society, the brutal treatment of LGBT communities, the brutal and discriminatory treatment of other religions and non-believers, the role of Jihad in Islam, .... this clash of civilizations has been ongoing for centuries .... the only difference from then to now is that it is happening here. Case in point, we are seeing it in London today .... Feminism or Islam? Sadiq Khan’s ban on ‘body shaming’ ads gets mixed reaction (RT) .... and if you think that London Mayor Sadiq Khan is going to stop with just this ban .... this is an easy prediction .... he is just starting.

No, but neither does the Quran. The book says that homosexuality is unlawful, but the penalty in not stated. Some hadiths call for death, others do not. This is not a black and white issue in Islam. Just like Christianity and the gospels there are quite a few interpretations, and some hadiths are considered illegitimate in some schools of Islam.
