So back to Aurora where James Holmes was initially reported by left wing news casters to be a right wing conservative, and fast forward the Baton Rouge where another left wing newscaster Pete Williams of NBC says the shooter was a right winger:

He connects the shooter to the "sovereign citizens" movement, a right-wing anti-government group and does not mention "Black Lives Matter" or any other anti-police group.

The desperation of the left to link a mass shooting to a right winger is palpable. I wouldn't be surprised if someone on the left will try to get a conservative to commit such a crime just to say,"See it was a right winger that did it". Oh and by the way, the Baton Rouge shooter was a member of the Nation of Islam. Go suck on that Pete. Justice correspondent indeed.

the Baton Rouge shooter was a Marine. The Dallas shooter was in the Army. Just sayin', if you want to link to a larger group........

you're the one, apparently hung up on political affiliations or other boogeymen, and whining when someone's narrative doesn't seem to fit your preconceptions. I'm the one pointing out that it's just another good American citizen with a gun, fighting back against the perceived tyranny of his government, just like you all advocated for years. That the military trained him to use it accurately is a tribute to the quality of training.

nah, Woody, I'm just repeating what you told me was the rationale for having uncontrolled purchase and public carry of weapons. It was an American's God Given Right to be able to take up arms against an oppressive government. I always replied that such was batshit lunacy, because it was never going to work that way, and you never would have agreement on what was oppressive to whom. And, here you go, a couple guys have decided to follow your chosen rationale, and attack their government. Like how it looks, in reality? I sure as hell don't, and never did.

What's the difference? Once a Marine, always a Marine. I guess they tend to continue putting that training to good use after they leave the Marines.... or Army.

never known an Army guy to feel that way, except for the couple of career guys I've met, but every Marine I've ever known was STILL a Marine, and generally made it well known, even if they'd served 4 years 40 years ago. Justifiably proud, from the character of most I've known. Like any group, there are outliers.
