How do you explain it? "Men can have periods, too." This is why the feminist hashtag #IfMenHadPeriods made a whole bunch of LGBT activists on Twitter insanely angry. Apparently, declaring the biological fact that people born with an X and Y chromosome (previously known as "men," in the benighted ages) do not get periods is "transphobic" and "essentialist."
To a sensible person, this might seem like insanity. But this is an Ivy League college we're talking about.
Just sounds like another argument for single occupant, gender neutral restrooms. It's the sensible thing to do. Instead of complaining about this, advocate for solutions.
Say TB, what about those condom dispensers that sometimes get installed in public men's bathrooms? Should girls be afraid of looking at those contraptions?

they should serve as reminders to all that condoms are best purchased outside of a bar setting.......given the condition of most I've seen, I figure the contents might be YEARS old.

This is a little gross woody, but some men (or women) may need to "install" one of these in the bathroom, especially older men with bowel incontinence. Looks similar to a tampon too.
