I wonder what this trend indicates? That people are either too lazy or indifferent to care anymore or perhaps that they want an Autocrat/Plutocrat who'll do all the deciding for them?

chart was contained in a Robert Reich article, which I didn't wish to link in total,but will if you need me to.

edit--follow up: I dug the article by Reich up, and his gives utterly no attribution. His thrust was whether figures like Sanders or Warren would rekindle a drive for democracy in the current younger generations.

I offer no real insight, but found that graph alarming. It would APPEAR that democracy is less a draw in the Western world than has been the case.
