Lesson Learned

While some of you are lamenting the election, others are learning from it. Now I saw this coming back when Trump threw his hat into the ring. Other highly paid people did not. One such is Arthur O. Sulzberger Jr., publisher of the NYT:

The publisher of The New York Times penned a letter to readers Friday promising that the paper would “reflect” on its coverage of this year’s election while rededicating itself to reporting on “America and the world” honestly.

Wow, so I guess we are being told they were being dishonest and in reality they were in the tank for HRC. Perhaps losing sales might also have something to do with it? Well I am glad if nothing else, that the news people are finally realizing they just plain look bad when they get something so wrong but it takes a man of character to admit his mistake Like Sulzberger admitted. Hopefully other news organs see the light and understanding mirroring Pravda or Tass in being a party line paper does the people at large no good. I suspect Trumps win will have even more far reaching effects and if the NYT is any example they can only be for the good.

I think the lesson the Democrats will learn from this is…

Not that you can’t get elected with only the white vote, but you can’t get elected without it.

Tucker Carlson on Fox news gets it also:

Many in the press are dissatisfied with the outcome of the election and are rightfully blaming themselves for it happening because they spent the entire election season chasing revenue generating hyperbole instead of actually reporting the facts.
