Real Heroism

Post by woodchip »

Next time you hear someone labeled a hero because they helped a elderly person cross the street, consider this:
Colburn was the last surviving member of a U.S. Army crew that ended the My Lai massacre of March 16, 1968. According to accounts, pilot Hugh Thompson landed the helicopter between unarmed villagers and American troops and ordered Colburn and crew chief Glenn Andreotta to cover him.

Took a lot of guts to stop your own troops from killing innocent villagers.

There's no argument about Colburn's valor woody, so what's your point here?

Not that I find myself defending woody often, but does there need to be one? It is possible to have the occasional thread about something we can all agree on.

Well, with woody, I'm assuming there must be a point. Other than that, nothing's wrong about posting it.
