Hell, I guessing he's going to fast-track approval for a couple of natural gas terminals here on the West Coast so that our gas companies can sell them our natural gas instead of coal.

No, you voted Trump in because you're too uneducated to have any grasp on reality. Trump 's "solutions" to trade issues were outdated by the 1970s.

My grasp on reality is much better than yours as I predicted Trump would win.

Well, other economists think differently about Trump's plans.

And if you want a refresher, here's some of his current statements on free trade. The man contradicts himself so much he's turning himself into a pretzel.

That's the problem, isn't it? Trump is an unknown quantity with unknown intentions who typically does things to benefit himself.

Well he has benefited himself quite well. Now, unlike when the pauper Obama was elected in, Trump has nothing he needs to gain monetarily. I think you will see he genuinely wants America to prosper and regain the preeminent position in the world that Obama destroyed.

Obama hasn't hurt Wall Street either. But I wonder what will happen during a Trump presidency when he cuts all those financial regulations he promised on top of creating a government Disneyland for Goldman Sachs?

instead of speculating, try to post those charts 4 and 8 years from now.

If Trump managed to maintain Obama's economic trajectory, the Dow would be around 38,000 after an 8 year span.

Obama was the sole reason the rest of the planet stopped looking at us like a ★■◆●ing joke after the previous eight years. And now they're laughing even harder. Try talking to literally anyone outside of your own hovel.

And "pauper"? What the hell?

It's already over-inflated. That's what scares me, because it really can't keep going up if past history is any indication, despite or because of Trump.

I'll try to relay what I've been told on that matter. By certain historical measures, the current broad market is largely priced pretty high, with bargains to be found among sectors. However, by other measures, there is room for growth that would give you a Dow around 30,000 or so within 6 years, easily. This, and I apologize if I come off as repetitive, is entirely due to the projected speed of the next Industrial Revolution. That is a component of why you see what you see right now, moving up 20% in a year. Remember back, when microchip tech took a prominent place in industry there was a boom that raised the Dow from around the 2500 mark up to around 5 or 6,000. Then, came the next big revolution, in communications with the explosion of online commerce. The Dow jumps from around 6k to around 12K and higher. Well, if you step back and start to grasp what I've been babbling about on here, we're going to see a revolution in production, delivery of goods and communications all jammed into one comprehensive game change. Analysts are still divided on whether this will double or triple current stock valuations but most agree that in the short term(less than 10 years) they are going to go up barring major disaster type action around the planet. Part of the question is how various societies, markets and locales adapt. Some will have far more robust economic growth than others. This, to return to domestic politics, is my big problem with the whole of the Republican approach: they are destroying a part of government which will be sorely needed(public assistance and support and education), while far too many are overtly throwing up smokescreens that will cause the public shock at the reality to be far worse. That doesn't necessarily bode well for America, but since most of the Dow players are global in scope, might not slow down the financial markets here. Hope this was some help.....

A lot more in-the-know people are also "speculating". It's not so rosy for Trump.
