Dat "nuclear option...."
Again, democrats seem to live on hypocrisy. They pushed through things because they had the power to- and damn any filibuster.
They better get ready to take it from the other side now (since they basically destroyed the practice of filibuster in the face of a majority.)

Well, the Republicans didn't even have the courtesy to at least hold hearings for Obama's very resonable and bipartisan last nominee, Merrick Garland. So who's being a bunch whiners now? Tough s**t Repubs.

I'm not saying "our side" is any better than "your side". Both sides are playing the game as tough and nasty towards one another as they can. It's kind of sad that neither side can at least work together, do some compromising and get something done for the country. That requires some give and take. Under Obama, the Republicans sat solid as obstreperous stone for 8 years and weren't going to even "give" Merrick Garland a chance. I'm congratulating the Dems for now showing some spine and not allowing themselves to be run roughshod over by the Repubs like meek little wussies. Republicans don't want to play nice? Neither should the Dems. Turn about fair play.

Rep. leadersip doesn't have the bawls to use the nuclear option. And TC, how much discussion was there on the AHCA? Oh thats right, We can't know about it until they vote on it.

Same with Trumpcare. We won't know what's IN the bill until it passes Congress. By the way, the GOP is in charge this time and it's still a massive clusterfuck. They're even trying to pass the thing in even less time than it took for the ACA.

Re: Dat "nuclear option...."
and, there goes the Health Bill:
this one, although he'll likely deflect to Ryan, or the entire Congress, is on Trump. At dinnertime yesterday, they had 26 'No' votes, 6 too many, all from the extreme right wing. After a night of sell-out coupled with personal threats, apparently, they all woke up this morning to see Moderate Congressmen fleeing the compromises reached. The NJ rep who is the Chair of the Appropriation Committee(easily top 6 or 7 in the GOP insiders) announced and now they had at least 40 'No' votes, and ZERO chance to survive the Senate. For the Great Negotiator, this was a disaster.

You obviously haven’t been keeping up, damn near every aspect of the new bill has been scrutinized by the media and Congress.Tunnelcat wrote:Same with Trumpcare. Re: Dat "nuclear option...."
since you purport to be 'keeping up' I'm left to no conclusion other than you are choosing to lie to us all. On TV, TODAY, several members professed not finding out about dozens of overnight changes to the bill(changes which helped kill it with any GOP member that was from a close district). The only floor debate on the final bill was this afternoon, and even then, there was clear confusion over much of the bill. Why are you lying?Spidey wrote:You obviously haven’t been keeping up, damn near every aspect of the new bill has been scrutinized by the media and Congress.

Yes, I'm sure there is some lag time as far as overnight changes are concerned.
And I'm going to choose to ignore the liar remark, and just consider the source.
