I just purchased this from Dell, The price seemed pretty good. I hope I made a good choice.
I really just need it to help keep my arse orginized.
Speed really isn't a factor. Axim X30
Anyone have any input on this thing? I'm curious to know if its good, bad or otherwise.
What the heck does anyone use a pda for anyway? I've tried to rationalize buying one of these expensive little toys, but I just can't seem to find a use for them?

Schedules, info associated with people (phone numbers, addresses, birthdays), any time you need to take random notes or something you need to do, in a pinch reading a book on the go or even taking notes in class with an attachable keyboard...
I don't use one myself because I don't like it when things get that complicated, but I know people who lead busier lives than I who find them very handy.

its gonna help me a great deal with the quotes I must do daily, no more note pads, yah
i have a PDA, given to me by CAP to use as a Pager, "CAPNet" Messenger and "CAPMail" means. it is web enabled but the firewall is sooo GD enforced i cant even browse DBB
A PDA in the field is invaluable. Being able to have the customer prattle off requirements, and you clickity-click some options, and boom, instant quote, with materials, time, etc, etc, all up front and accurate. Insurance guys love it.
I did programming for PDA's for field/yard workers. With the built-in LAN, they save so much time and effort. (Programmign the thing is a complete pain in the ass tho')
If there's one thing Dell did right (ok the only thing), it was the Axim. Can handle abuse, the screen is clear, the features are decent enough.
